Extracurricular Activities
Extra curricular activities (ECA) are held after school from 2:10 to 3:15. They are available for students in the Reception level through Grade Six. Below are the ECA’s offered for Term Four of the 2011 – 2012 school year for Reception – Year 6 students:

Students will learn Mandarin and Chinese culture through a variety of hands-on and traditional methods.

The Robo Kidz team will continue their hands-on building class for those students in the Reception through Year 3 classes. |

Tennis Mr. Inge Djoe Kwee Off Campus
Students have the opportunity to attend classes off-campus to improve their tennis skills

Students will have experience to learn different techniques and recipes in cooking.

Tae Kwon Do Wildan, Jhon and Ryan Hall
Students will continue working towards improving their Tae Kwon Do skills. There will be opportunity for grading in the future!

Please check the rehearsal schedule. Your student will need to attend rehearsal on the days they are scheduled for only.

Scouts Ms. Betty, Ms. Mita and Ms. Pisca Students will learn about leadership and scout skills such as tying knots, reading maps/compass and signaling through activities and games. The purpose of a scout game or activity is to teach, reinforce, demonstrate, or simply to entertain so the children gain significant benefits through social interaction, team building and problem solving.

Basketball Mr. Fish Hall/Bottom Playground
Students will work together to learn different drills, skills and challenges in basketball play!

Kindergarten students will be able to attend ECA’s on Tuesday – Thursday next term from 1:00 – 2:00. The ECA’s offered are as follows:

Students will be able to participate in hands-on building courses using LEGO’s and simple tools to build a variety of structures and creatures.

Art
Ms. Marea Papua Class
Students will be able to participate in hands-on art classes. They will work towards creating a final piece or art to be auctioned off in an Art Sale at the end of the term.

Mandarin Ms. Annie Science Room (behind Toddler Class)
Students will begin an introduction Mandarin course with speaking practice and other fun activities. |
